Margaret spent much of her working life in teaching, first as a secondary school teacher of French and History, then later in life as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). She also gave taught French for Business and gave private tuition to pupils preparing for GCSE exams.
